The drilling rigs are driven by either diesel engine, hydraulic torque converter and chain compound box or diesel engine, reducer and narrow V-belt, which provides smooth mechanical power to the drawworks, A number of hoisting speeds and rotary speeds are available.

The drawworks is divided into two sections so as to install the main drawworks near the ground level. The tapered gear box and universal shaft transmit smooth power and are simple to assemble and disassemble.

The main drawworks (40 and 50 model) utilize air-tube clutch to shift gears, which are suitable for remote control, fast and convenient maintenance. The cathead drawworks is equipped with a sand reel and facilitates a one-piece single lift onto the floor without a heavy-duty crane.

The main brake system utilizes either a band brake or a hydraulic disc brake. And the auxiliary brake uses an Eddy current brake or EATON brake. The system provides a high degree of sensitivity and reliability to reduce drillers fatigue.

The chain drive rigs are driven by the integral enclosed compound chain box and torque converter. During rig moves, the chains can be dismantled for ease of installation.

The substructure is a box-on-box design for easy installation.

It meets the needs of high pressure B.O.P installations. The rotary table and transmission are flush with the rig floor.

For the combination type of mechanical & electrical drilling rigs, i.e. JD & LD, the drawworks is driven by narrow V-belt and chain compound drive. The rotary table is driven by an AC motor drive.
